Scrub personal details from text

Before you paste text into an AI chatbot, a support ticket, a forum or an email to a stranger, take out what identifies you. This tool finds emails, phone numbers, addresses, card numbers, keys and passwords and swaps them for placeholders like [EMAIL_1]. When the reply comes back, it can put your originals back so the answer still makes sense.

Nothing is sent or stored. The text you paste is scrubbed locally in your own browser. This site never sees it, and this page tells your browser to block every network request. The list of what was replaced exists only in this page, and is gone when you leave it or press Clear everything.

What this can and cannot do

It only catches patterns. Emails, phone numbers, cards and similar have a recognisable shape. Names, employers, places and unusual details do not, unless you list them above. Read the scrubbed text yourself before you send it.
Context can identify you. "The only vet on the island" or "my manager at the bank on Elm Street" can point to one person even with every name removed. Rewrite anything that describes you rather than naming you.
It can be wrong both ways. It may miss an item (especially unusual formats or addresses) and it may replace something harmless. The "see what was found" view lets you check.
Whatever you leave in, the service will see. AI chat services and support desks may store what you send, review it, or use it to train models. For genuinely sensitive material, do not paste it into an online service at all. Consider a model that runs on your own computer, or ask a person.
Placeholders are restored only in this session. If you close or reload the page, the list is gone. Copy what you need first.
